Santis Health, a leading public affairs, communications and strategy consultancy focusing on the health care sector, has an opportunity for a Senior Consultant with our Government Relations Practice. Based in our Ottawa office, this ambitious, self-motivated individual will work closely with the Santis government relations team to provide strategic problem solving, public policy and communications services to the senior leadership of the firm.

Responsibilities Include:
Account Support
- Working closely with Santis team members to manage a wide range of client projects and deliverables.
- Lead accounts and manage projects, ensuring ongoing client support, communication, development of project management plans, and fulfilment of overlapping deliverables.
- Advising on government engagement, public affairs, and advocacy strategies.
- Interacting with government officials and decision-makers to build and maintain relationships.
- Tracking emerging and evolving public policy issues – and analyzing their implications to client organizations.
- Interact with clients and prospective clients, media, partner agencies, stakeholders and colleagues to build and maintain excellent relationships.
- Liaising with clients as part of ongoing project management responsibilities.
- Identifying key stakeholders and creating tailored stakeholder maps.
- Participating in client strategy sessions.
- Developing government relations initiatives, a wide range of briefing notes, slide decks and other communication materials.
- Developing project management plans and keeping the project team focused on meeting multiple, tight timelines.

Internal Support
- Tracking and responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and other business development opportunities.
- Assisting on development of proposals and other business development opportunities.
- Drafting Santis-branded blogs, op-ed publications, news releases, policy reports and think pieces.
- Participating in the continued development of internal products and processes.

Qualifications:
- Degree in political science, public policy, economics, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience); post-graduate qualifications are beneficial.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience directly in the federal government or in a federal government relations role.
- Competencies in health care policy, networks in the health care sector and knowledge of federal, provincial and territorial relationships is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of government affairs, public policy and politics across Canada.
- A solid mix of project management, policy analysis and communications experience.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge and network within the public sector, including the British Columbia provincial and municipal governments, provincial agencies and organizations.
- Degree in political science, public policy, economics, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience); post-graduate qualifications are beneficial
- Minimum 5 years of public policy and regulatory experience related to government relations and advocacy in British Columbia.
- A solid mix of project management, policy analysis and communications experience.
- Strong understanding of and experience with government relations and public affairs in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
- A self-starter who can work independently to create opportunities and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and team development skills; including ability to inform, delegate, empower and motivate.
- Deep understanding of working with Government and well-connected with government key influencers.
- A proven track record in client service excellence and relationship building and/or deep sectoral knowledge and specialized expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Able to work at both a leadership and tactical level.
- Consulting experience would be a strong asset.

Position Overview:
Santis Health, a leading public affairs consultancy focusing exclusively on the health care and life sciences sectors, is looking to hire a Life Sciences Coordinator. Based in our Toronto office, this ambitious, self-motivated individual will work primarily with Santis’ Life Sciences Team and will focus predominately on projects in the biopharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health sectors. This individual will provide entry level client-facing consulting services in a fast-paced environment. This work will include conducting research, supporting project management and creating or refining presentation materials and communications collateral – as well as administrative duties as needed.

Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with Santis colleagues to manage a wide range of client projects and deliverables.
- Tracking and researching emerging and evolving public policy issues, including monitoring federal and provincial laws, regulations and policies that could impact the pharmaceutical, medical device and digital health sectors.
- Support the execution of stakeholder maps and engagement plans, including conducting secondary research, setting up interviews, taking notes and other related tasks.
- Develop, execute and support communications tools including slide decks, reports, social media content, news releases, etc.
- Monitor conversations and client issues on traditional and social media channels.
- Liaising with clients as part of ongoing project management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Position Overview:
Santis Health, a leading public affairs, communications and strategy consultancy focusing on the health care sector, is looking to hire an Office Manager. Based on-site at our Toronto office, this self-motivated individual would be responsible for providing administrative and operational support for all aspects of the organization, including organizing and coordinating office administration, events, and procedures effectively.

The successful candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties. Previous office management or administrative experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities Include:
Administrative Support
- Working closely with Santis leadership to coordinate internal projects and deliverables.
- Providing administrative support to Santis Managing Partners; assisting with expenses, scheduling, travel etc. Streamlining administrative procedures, including but not limited to organizing our business planning cycle timelines, meeting activities and agendas.
- Perform review and analysis of operational procedures; keeping management informed.
- Working with Human Resources to develop and implement office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office.
- Working with Santis’ bookkeeper and Finance and Administration Manager to ensure timely submission and filing of staff expenses and accounts payables. Maintaining Client/Project Lists.
- Assisting with the creation of memos, contracts, announcements, and other internal communications.
- Coordinating domestic and international travel when required, including flights, hotels, and car rental reservations.
- Planning and execution of all internal team events, including attendance, scheduling, liaising with vendors, budgeting, surveys, travel etc.

Ensuring a Clean and Functioning Work Environment
- Acting as the point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands.
- Greeting and providing general support to visitors and callers.
- Monitoring and maintaining office supplies inventory.
- Ensuring all inventory is organized.
- Liaising with the building manager to resolve maintenance issues when necessary.
- Liaising with company vendors.
- Working with suppliers to ensure functioning of key office equipment such as photocopiers, projectors, IT services, etc.
- Maintaining a physical and cloud-based filing system for key corporate documents.
- Coordinating staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in an administrative capacity.
