Santis Health builds up its digital health expertise with the promotion of Ben King as Director of Digital Health and Innovation

Toronto, ON – November 1, 2022 – Santis Health, a leading Canadian health care consultancy, has enhanced its digital health expertise by bringing Ben King on full-time as Director of Digital Health and Innovation. With 15 years of experience, Ben has extensive digital health knowledge that will enable Santis to meet the needs of its clients who are increasingly looking to evolve their digital health portfolios.

Ben joined Santis in 2019 as an Associate, performing exceptional work on projects related to innovation and digital health policy. Clients were quickly impressed with his expertise, professionalism and sound advice provided over the last three years, when the health care sector was rapidly changing as a result of the pandemic.

“We’re very happy to see Ben join the team full-time in this new role that was created to reflect his experience, unique expertise and strengths,” said Ross Wallace, Principal at Santis Health. “His experience within the provincial government, his knowledge of the digital health system as a consultant, and his involvement in the development and implementation of some of the province’s most significant health projects over the last 10 years are hugely valuable to Santis and our clients.”

Prior to his work with Santis, Ben worked as the Manager of Strategy + Innovation with the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Digital Health Secretariat, where he was responsible for the province’s overarching digital health strategy, including the digital components of the Ontario Health Team initiative. With the Ministry, Ben also led the creation of a provincial eConsult service, the establishment of innovative virtual care pilots, the negotiation of provincial funding agreements, and a range of policy projects to address barriers that were limiting the spread and impact of technology across the health system.

In addition to his work with Santis, Ben is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
