Toronto, ON – October 23rd, 2019 – Santis Health is expanding its digital health expertise as Ben King joins the Toronto office as an Associate. With over a decade of experience, Ben has extensive digital health knowledge that will enable Santis to better meet the needs of its clients who are increasingly looking to evolve their digital health portfolios.
Most recently, Ben worked as the Manager of Strategy + Innovation with the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Digital Health Secretariat, where he was responsible for the province’s overarching digital health strategy, including the digital components of the Ontario Health Team initiative. With the Ministry, Ben also led the creation of a provincial eConsult service, the establishment of innovative virtual care pilots, the negotiation of provincial funding agreements, and a range of policy projects to address barriers that were limiting the spread and impact of technology across the health system.
We are excited to add Ben to our growing team,” said Patrick Nelson, Principal at Santis Health. “His experience within the provincial government, his knowledge of the digital health system as both a consultant and a public sector leader, and his involvement in the development and implementation of some of the province’s most significant health projects of the past decade will be hugely valuable to Santis and our clients.”
In addition to his role at Santis, Ben is also an adjunct faculty member with the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. In this role, Ben serves as an instructor in the Master of Health Informatics program, with a particular focus on digital health policy.
Our provincial health system is in a period of transformation. We are confident that our clients will leverage Ben’s expertise to effectively position themselves, their objectives and their digital health portfolios to meet the future needs of Ontario’s digital health strategies,” said Dan Carbin, Principal at Santis Health.
