Santis Webinar | Ontario Election 2022: What’s Next?

Premier Ford’s cabinet was unveiled in June 2022 with Sylvia Jones as the new Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. Jones is the MPP for Dufferin-Caledon, serving most recently as the Solicitor General where, among other roles, she was responsible for the province’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Paul Calandra (Markham-Stouffville) remains the Minister of Long-Term Care and Michael Tibollo (Vaughan-Woodbridge) remains the Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions.

As the government sets their agenda, health and life sciences organizations must be creative with their asks and ensure their messaging is clear and aligned with government priorities. With several competing interests including record inflation and cost-of-living challenges, health care organizations will need to work hard to keep their policy asks on the government’s radar. Our specialists can support you and your organization in developing an integrated government relations and communications roadmap to help you achieve your policy goals.

On Tuesday, July 12 Government Relations and Communications experts from Santis Health reflected on the election results, discussed the newly appointed cabinet and shared key strategies and insights organizations can utilize when engaging with the re-elected Ford Government.
